Thumby’s Essential Information

Platinum/100% Difficulty 1.5/5

Estimated time to Platinum/100%: 40+ Hours

Step 1: Complete All 20 Main Story Levels

During this step you will want to complete all story levels. While doing this you will be earning a couple gold bricks along the way and unlock all necessary characters for the Free Play.  During this step you can try and find some minikits along the way to save yourself from collecting several on the free play play through. You’ll also want to try and collect as many studs as you can, earning the stud requirement isn’t needed but you’ll want to save up around 800,000 studs so you can start buying pink brick multipliers.

Step 2: Complete All Levels in Free Play and gather every minikit, Stan Lee in Peril, character token and get “True Believer” in each level.

You may spend most a fair amount of time playing through this step without a guide but using this guide will speed things up a lot! Each level contains 4 gold bricks, 1 free Lee, 1 character token and has a stud requirement. Many of the collectibles are easy to find and don’t require too much help but there are a couple that are very tricky to find, even the minikit detector won’t help with some. “True Believer” is the only thing you shouldn’t have much trouble with if you have some pink brick multipliers.

Step 3: Complete all Gwenpool Levels and collect every collectible in them.

It doesn’t matter if you do step 3 or 4 but completing this step will knock all levels out and you can then focus on free roam.  There are a total of 10 Gwenpool levels but each requires you to collect specific characters in the free roam. After completing a level quickly head back into the level but this time in free play. Each level takes about 10 minutes and don’t have any minikits. Doing all the levels will also allow you to purchase all the locked pink bricks.

Step 4: Complete ALL Races, Quests, Gold Brick Puzzles, Challenges and Boss Battles in the Free Roam.

This step will by far take the longest as there are a TON of gold bricks and quests to do. All of them can be found free roam by looking at the map. The only thing that won’t appear on the map are where the challenges are. I’d say the challenges for last since you’ll become familiar with the world as you complete actives. Some of the challenges will actually be completed without even trying for them by doing actives. It is recommend to look at the list of challenges though so that if you do encounter any of the instances you can have some parts of some challenges already started. Finally if an activity remains locked, you must complete a specific activity to unlock certain activities, such as boss battles. To unlock those all activities in that area need to be completed first before you can find the boss.

Step 4: Clean Up

Go back and collect any trophies you may have missed along the way. Most of the random trophies are simple and take several minutes to earn. Most of the trophies will come naturally if you follow the guide.

Step 5: DLC

All DLC trophies can be found after the minikit guide at the bottom of the page.

Time to put things right – Collect all the trophies

Once you have unlocked all other Trophies you will have your shiny new Platinum Trophy! Congratulations!

A Here’s Job is Never Easy – Rescue All Peril Characters

There are 50 times you’ll need to save Stan Lee. 20 of those times can found in Story Free Play, 10 in Gwenpool missions and 20 in free roam. In the free roam each location on the map will have a terminal that can be used. Use it and it will indicate where all gold brick puzzles, races, Stan Lee in Perils, etc are.

Refer to the “Comic Book Collector” trophy for all Stan Lee locations in Story Free Play.

Refer to the “Hello World!” trophy for all Stan Lee locations in the Gwen Pool levels.

Free Roam

Neuva York – There is a building that you can drop down into. This building will be near the edge of Neuva York. Go on the walkway and make your way to the Stan logo on the map. Destroy the big box in the room he’s in, build and defeat the enemies. Melt the golden cage Stan is in to free him.

Sakaar – Around the stadium you can find Stan stuck underneath some ruble. Next to him is some gold that can be melted. Melt it to reveal a gravity device. Use Star-Lord here to free him.

Asgard – You can find Stan on a rock surround by lava. First you will need to forward time so that the ruble in the lava moves towards the green handles. Using a strong character now remove the green handles. From there reverse time all the way so that the structure is rebuilt. Go to the top of it and grab the handle that’s underneath the drone. This will cause the drone to crash and break. Now rebuild the drone into a platform. Forward time so that the large piece of ruble is now on fire. Put out the fire using Crystal and Stan will then jump to safety.

Xandar (Highways) – By the highways near the water you can go underwater. There will be a wall that can be smashed. Smash it and it will reveal a terminal for Ms Marvel. After the mini game Stan will be freed.

Xandar (Middle) – Stan can be found inside of a pink plant. You’ll need to reverse time, this will then reveal a couple gold spots under the plant. Melt those to free Stan.

The Old West – Stan can be found on a mountain standing face to face with a bull. Nearby will be some vines that can be cut. Break what was being blocked off by the vines and then build. Nearby will also be a rock that can be broken. Break it and combine those bricks with what you built before. You’ll build a fake female bull that will distract the one that’s with Stan.

Egypt – At the top of one of the pyramids you can find Stan being sucked up by a UFO. Using a bomb, you can blow up the bottom of the UFO. This will reveal a gravity device. Use Star-Lord on it to free Stan.

Hala – Stan can be found inside of a cement maker. You’ll need to blow up the silver on the power source. Then use Spiderman on the grapples on both sides of the machine. This will then save Stan.

Manhattan Noir – Stan can be found inside of a building being suffocated. Near him will be a spot that can be dug. Dig it to reveal a chest that will have some bricks that will let you build a grapple. Now use Spiderman to grapple the window down and save Stan.

Hydra Empire – On a bridge where Stan’s icon is will be a terminal. Use the terminal to shut of the electricity under the bridge. This will only shut off the sides. Head down and there will be a lever that can be pulled. Pull it and the electricity will be completely shut off. Stan will then paddle himself to shore.

K’un-lun – Stan will be buried head first in some snow inside a cave. You’ll need to melt the ice that’s holding the guy up to the ceiling. This will reveal some bricks that can be turned into grapples. Now use Spiderman on the grapples. This will reveal some more pieces that can be built into a turkey. Now using a character like Groot who can turn into a ball go to the ball pad and roll around to cook the turkey. The turkey will burst into flames, so you’ll need to put them out. This will give Stan motivation to free himself from the snow.

Manhattan (Middle) – Stan can be found stuck inside of a snowman. Near by is a snow plow that can be fixed. Fix it and the driver will plow the snowman and save Stan.

Manhattan (Edge) – You will find a large building. You will be able to go through a window on a lower level. Inside that room will be a spot where Lockjaw can be used. He will teleport to a room with a broken painting. Using his levitating ability, move the pieces into their correct spots. This will lower a set of ladders. You can now go to the lowest floor in the building. On the bottom floor will be Stan stuck inside of a glass case. Shatter it to free Stan.

Man Thing’s Swamp – Stan will be under a bridge with alligators trying to get at him. On shore will be an axe stuck in a stump. Use Doctor Strange to cut down the upright tree. It will drop into the water. Now using Spiderman pull all the logs together so that Stan can get to shore.

Edge of Manhattan – Stan can be found underwater tied to a 100-ton weight. Cut the vine holding him down to free him.

Wakanda – You can find Stan hanging from some vines. At the bottom are some black panthers trying to get him. Attack the panthers and they will run away. Not fly up and cut the vine to free Stan.

Medieval England – Stan can be found on the edge of England. Stan will be trapped and there will be 2 people next to him also trapped. Behind the girl who’s trapped on the right is a spot that can be dug up. This will reveal a pusher that can be built. Push it to free Stan.

Attilan – You can find Stan here trapped inside some sort of machine. On either side of the machine are rocks that can be blown up with bombs. Blow them up and build. This will reveal a terminal on both sides if you destroyed both. Use the terminals, on the left one you have to make it hotter and on the right, make it colder. Once you make the left one hotter a silver spot that can be blown up will appear. For the right side all you have to do is use the terminal. Complete both sides and Stan will be freed.

Knowhere – Right next to the terminal that tells you where everything is, you can fly into the rock and it will bring you inside. On the left side of the room is a lightning panel. Charge it and an object will appear in one of the blue tubes. You can destroy it and build a terminal that Ms Marvel can use. Complete the mini game to free Stan.

Kang’s Citadel – Near the bottom of Kang’s Citadel will be Stan stuck inside a glass showcase. Shatter it using a sound character. You will now need to press the buttons in a certain order. It’s Middle, right, left. This will open a door with junk inside. Behind the Howard the Duck arcade machine is a terminal Ms Marvel can use. Complete the mini game to free Stan.
